Mechanication Sugarcane Planter Demo & Training During Dnyanyag-Dnyanlaxmi Training Program
Agriculture Engineering section is actively engaged in education activites of the Institute -
The section conducts the course on 'Land Use Planning and Watershed Management' for M.Sc. Environmental Sciences Program of University of Pune conducted at the institute.
The section also conducts lectures and practicals on Sugarcane Mechanization, Agricultural Drainage, Soil and Water Conservation Engineering and all the topics related to irrigation water management for sugarcane under conventional, drip and sprinkler irrigation, in all the short term courses organized by Agricultural Division of the Institute.
Agricultural engineers design and organize short duration tailor made programs for the sugarcane cultivators, agricultural staff of the sugar factories and government officials about conventional and modern irrigation techniques regarding their design, maintenance, operation, quality parameters and economics covering topics:-

Irrigation scheduling and crop water requirement.

Agro-techniques for micro-irrigation in sugarcane agriculture.
3
Drip irrigation and sprinkler irrigation - design, operation and maintenance.
4
Agricultural drainage.
5
Drip testing as per IS specifications.
6
Farm mechanization.
