Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) [01 post] at Tissue Culture Section of Agriculture Division, for Department of Atomic Energy (DAE)/ BRNS funded Project in Collaboration with BARC, Mumbai.
Project Name: Use of irradiated chitosan as Biostimulator for Sugarcane and Potato”

The post is purely on Contract Basis for project period and Co-Terminus with the project.

Approximately Rs.3,00,000/- per annum


Job Profile:
Candidate should have to work for biostimulator use in in vitro and in field for sugarcane and potato to study its effect on abiotic and biotic stress tolerance.
Candidate will have to work on development of biostimulator, biochemical and molecular analysis of the samples in laboratory and field at VSI, Pune and laboratories at BARC, Mumbai. Candidates have to collect field performance data from the multilocation trials at different sugar mills.


Candidate Profile & Qualification:
M.Sc./ M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Bio-chemistry/ Agriculture Biotechnology/ Botany from any reputed University.
Candidate should have hands on experience in biochemical analysis as well as well PCR.


Experience:
Freshers are eligible to apply.
However, preference will be given to those having experience in plant tissue culture (micropropagation), biochemical and molecular analysis. Project work done in suitable area supported by thesis/ research publications.

Job Profile:
We are looking for candidates with zeal and interest in development and implementation of the software for sugar factories.


Candidate Profile & Qualification:
B Sc. (Computer Science) / BCA / BCS from recognized university with Knowledge of VB6, VB.net, Oracle, Crystal report.


Experience:
0 to 2 years experience in VB6, VB.net, Oracle, Crystal report will be preferable. Fresher can also walk in for same.
