The section has well equipped soil testing laboratory that provide the needs of users including research students.
1) Soil and plant sample testing laboratories
Soil and plant testing laboratory has sophisticated instruments like pH meter, electrical conductivity meter, Flame photometer, UV-visible spectrophotometer, automatic Nitrogen analyzer, Microwave plasma atomic emission spectrometer, Hydrometer, Hydraulic conductivity set
2) GIS laboratories
Soil science section established the GIS laboratory for soil fertility mapping of operational area of sugar mill and land use mapping for EIA study.
