Infrastructure
• Tissue culture section has a 15,000 sq. ft., well equipped tissue culture laboratory which is being used for the production of micropropagated sugarcane plantlets as well as for doing research on various aspects tissue culture of sugarcane and other crops.
• The present sugarcane plantlets production capacity of the laboratory is 1.50 million plantlets per annum.
•The section also has a 10,000 sq. ft. of area under semi automated Green Houses which are being used for acclimatization of tissue cultured plantlets.
• In addition to above about 0.4 hectare of open land is available for further secondary hardening of the micro propagated plantlets.
